The first place to start is by getting a referral from people you know who know lawyers.  If you know an attorney, ask him for referrals.  The next best person to call is someone who owns their own business.  They have probably used an attorney before.

If those don’t work, call the Houston Bar Association.  They can refer you to an attorney.

If all else fails, look up attorneys in the Yellow Pages or search for Houston attorneys online.
